In this project, Xingrong Qiao transforms herself into a fictional academy to investigate why individuals must bear the consequences of institutional misconduct. Reflecting on her experience of applying for her visa to the Netherlands in 2021, she decides to think from the perspective of a bureaucratic institution—how to avoid taking responsibility and deny any wrongdoing.
