SafeTravelUSA is a collection of hundreds of screenshots taken from https://www.safetravelusa.com/ between June and October 2020. 

Unlike traffic enforcement cameras, live traffic cameras provide the public with real-time road information to help people plan their journeys. While browsing these cameras, I came across numerous unusual traffic surveillance images. Some were filled with glitches and distortions, while others displayed nothing but the words “IMAGE NOT AVAILABLE”. Still others were pointed at utility poles, illuminated houses, trees, the sun, and even mountains. By selecting and arranging these poor and overlooked images, I completed a (virtual) journey across the United States.

Note: Images from 12 of the 50 U.S. states could not be captured because the cameras provided live video streams rather than still images.

不同于交通执法摄像头，实时交通摄像头为民众提供道路信息以方便人们出行。浏览这些摄像头时，我发现了许多不寻常的交通监控图像。其中一些满是故障和扭曲，或者仅仅只有“图像无法加载”这几个字；其他的则对准了电线杆、亮着光的房子、树、太阳甚至是山。通过选择和排列这些“坏”的、被忽视的图像，我完成了一次穿越美国的（虚拟）旅行。
